We are proud to be offering travel bursaries to students and early-career researchers to help you attend what we believe is the microscopy event of the year!

The international mmc2017 conference will comprise over 30 symposia, with excellent speakers and vibrant supporting poster sessions.

The congress will begin on Monday 3 July with a number of Pre-Congress Workshops addressing and demonstrating some of the latest techniques and software. The main conference will follow these workshops with two Plenary talks from top speakers and a drinks reception to welcome you to mmc2017.
On Tuesday 4 July the conference sessions will start with six parallel sessions each day, incorporating a number of popular meetings:

The conference will then take place over the next 3 days, closing at 1700 on Thursday 6 July.
Throughout the 3 days, the programme will be complemented by a number of celebrated international Plenary and Invited Speakers.

The Abstract Submission Deadline has been extended! You now have until Friday 3 March 2017 to submit your abstract.

Conference Times

Monday 3 July: Pre-Congress Workshops (times differ) followed by Plenary Speakers and Welcome Reception, 1630 - 1930

Tuesday 4 July: 0845 - 1600, followed by a poster session 1600 - 1800

Wednesday 5 July: 0845 - 1600, followed by a poster session 1600 - 1800

Thursday 6 July: 0930 - 1700

Previous events

mmc2017 is the latest in an impressive list of events dating back to the 1960s starting with the Micro conference and exhibition series. This later became MicroScience which grew ever-bigger until 2010. The RMS hosted the European Microscopy Congress in 2012 which was the catalyst for the current Microscience Microscopy Congress series.
