During the Techno Bite presentation, we will discuss the latest developments in Cryo-Electron Microscopy (cryo-EM) technology and the democratization of its use. Historically perceived as complex and costly, innovations in the past decade have made cryo-EM more accessible to researchers in multiple domains establishing its critical role in modern scientific research by elucidating protein function and disease mechanisms. The advancements in cryo-EM technology have significantly enhanced our molecular-level understanding, paving the way for future breakthroughs in medicine and biology. Furthermore, we explore how cryo-EM impacts drug design, where atomic-level visualization enables precise and targeted treatment development.
